EzyLoop Vehicle Sub Surface Loop Systems


Civic Group are the official Irish distributer for the EzyLoop range of products. The EzyLoop Sub Surface Loop is a preformed vehicle inductance loop that is manufactured off site and installed in the carriageway before the final layer of road surface is applied.

The benefits of EzyLoops to be considered when detection loops need to be installed or replaced, are:

  • No detrimental affects to the pavement integrity, because of the loops thin profile (7mm). EzyLoops actually bind into the pavement layers reinforcing the pavement. There are no reflective cracks or saw-cuts at the surface; the result is a longer pavement life.
  • Self adhesive thin profile enables their use under thin pavement layers, 50mm (2") without saw cutting, also allowing traffic to pass over the loops for short periods during installation and traffic lane changes.
  • The installation of EzyLoops takes a fraction of the time that is required for the installation of traditional saw-cut loops.
  • No need to return to site and install expensive traffic management.
  • EzyLoops can be easily made to any shape or size.
  • Arrives on site in a roll with peel-and-stick-down backing.
  • Number and placement of wires can be seen as ridges in the sandwich, thus enabling on-site inspection and verification of correct configuration.
  • EzyLoops are manufactured in Ireland.


Other EzyLoop products include the Tactile Pedestrian Switch pad the Bicycle Detection pad. Both of these products have been designed to be installed directly onto the pavement / carriageway. The Tactile Pedestrian Switch pad is used as a kerbside detector to detect the pedestrian standing at the crossing point. The Bicycle Detection pad is a directional pad that is installed in cycle lanes to count bicycle numbers and input detection where bicycle signal crossings are installed.
